Toilètte’s bamboo is sourced from Sichuan, China, where it grows abundantly, without chemicals, on small scale farms. Our partnerships support rural cooperatives, and all bamboo is FSC certified for responsible, sustainable harvesting.
We chose to produce in China because it’s where bamboo thrives naturally and can be cultivated most efficiently. Even with ocean freight, this remains the most environmentally effective way to make our product.

What is Toilètte packaging made out of?
Our toilet paper is made from 100% FSC® Certified Bamboo. A gentler option for the planet. It's lab-tested and certified free of PFAS, formaldehyde, and elemental chlorine. A toxin-free option, thoughtfully made without harmful forever chemicals.
Is Toilètte bleached?
Our white paper is bleached using a elemental chlorine-free process (ECF), and is generally considered one of the most environmentally safe ways to bleach paper. Modern ECF bleaching provides pulp with similar or even lower environmental impacts than TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) processes, according to the Alliance for Environmental Technology. The remaining chlorine-containing organic substances resulting from ECF bleaching are similar to substances found in nature, degrade naturally and do not persist in the environment.
